An antibody which is produces by body in response to the Hepatitis B Virus. A positive Hepatitis B Surface Antibody indicates that the body has developed a protective antibody against HBV. A positive HBsAb Test result, indicates that you are immune to HBV and cannot be infected. People who have surface antibodies have lifetime protection from future HBV infection. This is because of strong immune system. It can be done when a person taken hepatitis B vaccine or recovering from a past HBV infection. Once your immune system created surface antibody against the Virus, it will create enough antibody for life.
How to know my antibody is strong or weak?
1) If a person, is suffering from chronic hepatitis b in the long term.
2) If a person does not take hepatitis b vaccine.
